The London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) is expanding significantly on the international stage. In fact, you’ll find that we’re right at the heart of the world’s financial community. Our business extends beyond the Exchange itself to Borsa Italiana, FTSE, LCH.Clearnet and a range of international equity, bond and derivatives markets. We develop high-performance trading platforms and capital markets software, while also delivering essential post-trade services and reference data. With a proud history behind us, we are now focused firmly on the future – meeting the challenges presented by regulation and technology.
Equal Opportunities & Diversity
We value diversity and fairness in the workplace and recognise that they create a productive and creative environment that is good for our business, allowing us to meet the challenges of the competitive market in which we operate. We recruit, employ, promote and reward our staff solely on the basis of the qualifications, experience, abilities and competencies required for the role. We seek to attract, retain and motivate people from many backgrounds and perspectives.
A technology programme with real impact
Technology drives all the businesses within LSEG, so our specialist graduate programme is critical to our ongoing success. We structure the scheme around three different placements, each lasting for six months. Two of the rotations will be specifically in technology roles, while the third will be in one of our business areas, helping you to develop your commercial and business awareness. It’s an excellent opportunity to broaden your horizons and gain an understanding of our diverse group. From project work through to integration and business enhancement, our technology specialists enhance our products and services, while helping us to manage risk and deal with the ever-changing world of regulation. In planning your rotations, our aim is to give you opportunity for rounded development and to meet the needs of the business, although we’re always keen to talk about your own ambitions and priorities.
With our presence internationally, it’s possible that you will have chances to travel and that one of your rotations might be outside the UK.
Who should apply?
To apply for our technology programme, your degree doesn’t necessarily have to be in a subject such as computer science, we are also interested in Mathematics, Science and Engineering backgrounds. It is important, however, that you have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a genuine interest in the world of finance as well as strong communication skills. We will of course provide in depth learning and development during your Induction and continuing through your programme.
Your next steps
Applications open on 8th September 2014 and we recruit on a rolling basis, so we strongly recommend that you apply early. The final deadline for applications is 20th December. Apply online www.lseg.com/graduates
