E.ON UK is one of the UK’s leading power and gas companies and part of the E.ON group, an international privately-owned energy supplier, in future focusing entirely on renewables, energy networks and customer solutions.
In the UK, E.ON supplies electricity and gas to around five million residential and business customers and is committed to helping its customers use and pay for no more energy than they need.
E.ON aims to put customers at the heart of everything it does, listening to what they say and going the extra mile to help them. For customers, doing the right things right means they can rely on E.ON to be genuinely helpful and to provide a high-quality service. Customers want to trust that E.ON acts fairly and honestly and that it’ll work with them to reduce their energy usage. And they want to know that E.ON is continuing to develop low carbon energy solutions and having a positive impact on the communities where it works.
By meeting its standards of service and working hard for its customers, E.ON believes it can gain their trust and loyalty. E.ON is on a journey, but believes it’s heading in the right direction. It is proud to have won Large Supplier of the Year in the uSwitch Energy Awards in 2014 and 2015, and to have won the award for Overall Customer Satisfaction in 2012 and 2013. But E.ON is never complacent and is always looking for new ways to improve its service. It’s part of what makes E.ON tick.
Our IT team is critical to enabling this change for our customers and therefore we are looking for people to join our team who have the skills and experience to create better systems and solutions. We are already quite a diverse company but we would love to strengthen our teams further by attracting more female colleagues to work closely with our business colleagues.
At E.ON, we know it’s our people that make all the difference. That’s why we strive every day to create a more diverse and inclusive workforce. For us, it’s not just the right thing to do; it makes good business sense too. Diverse teams are more creative, more motivated and more successful. Gender equality is no exception. We want to make sure nothing is holding our female colleagues back, in the recruitment process or in the workplace. A lot of our initiatives have focused on making us a more female-friendly employer, and our efforts are making a difference: more than 41% of our colleagues are now women, and we now have a third female board member in the UK. We know there’s still plenty to be done, but we believe we’re heading in the right direction.
