    Welcome to TARGETjobs Events

    TARGETjobs Events host unique events for career focused students of all years to meet and network with graduate employers. Our events are designed to showcase the best UK undergraduates, either through competitions or ‘invitation only’ career events.

    TARGETjobs Events are an excellent opportunity to get you noticed and improve your employability skills. Past winners and attendees have won internships and placements with leading recruiters which has often led to full time employment after graduation.

    Take a look through our upcoming events. You can apply to as many as you feel you are suitable for, all events are pre screened and ‘invitation only’ meaning selected students get quality time with recruiters.

  • Undergraduate of the Year

    TARGETjobs Undergraduate of the Year is our flagship annual competition. For undergraduates in years 1–4 and now in its fourth year, Undergraduate of the Year comprises a very special set of awards that focus on the personalities, skills and abilities of students from a range of degree subjects. It provides the opportunity for the very best to emerge and win prizes, ranging from overseas trips to specially commissioned internships.

  • National Student Challenge

    Enter online and compete against your peers to become the winner of the TARGETjobs National Student Challenge 2012. You will gain a unique opportunity to practise online testing and get experience of real life assessment centre scenarios used by graduate recruiters in their selection processes. Compete to win a chance to meet leading employers across various sectors at the Grand Final in London in December.

    We are delighted the event will be run in partnership with Siemens.

  • Women in Investment Management

    This one-day event with leading investment management employers is a chance for high-calibre students to meet graduate recruiters and other key figures to get advice on pursuing a career in this attractive industry.

    Taking place every autumn in London, the event is a great mix of practical exercises and networking – you can develop your knowledge and skills while making important contacts for the future.

  • Engineer your future

    Part of the STEMinism UK network, this one-day event with leading engineering employers is a chance for female students to meet graduate recruiters and other inspirational women within the sector.

    Our first engineering event took place on 30 November at the Shell Centre, London, and was a great mix of interactive sessions and networking opportunities, allowing students to develop knowledge and skills while making important contacts for the future.   • IT's not just for the boys!

    Part of the STEMinism UK network, IT's not just for the boys! is for female technology and related students that are aspiring to work in the technology sector.

    Do you want to meet leading employers, like-minded peers and inspirational women from within the sector? Taking place in London, biannually, the events include a skills workshop, panel discussion, guest speakers and a networking reception.

  • Schools' Brightest Business Brain

    TARGETjobs Schools' Brightest Business Brain, with our new partner Deloitte, is a fantastic competition for school or sixth-form students in years 12 and 13 to take part in fun online exercises that look at the kind of skills and attributes associated with successful people. Students take the test, scores go on the live leaderboard, and when the online competition closes the top 60 will be invited to the Grand Final.

  • AB InBev Best Beer Competition

    A fantastic competition where you can be creative, show your business skills, pitch your idea to a leading global company and be in with a chance of winning cash prizes.

    AB InBev invites teams to come up with an innovative concept for a beer that best represents the characteristics of their university and to produce a business plan that shows how it can be put into practice successfully.

    The competition is open to students studying at university in the UK and Belgium from any year of study and any degree discipline.

    The winning team in 2012 was from the University of Exeter.

  • STEMinism

    STEMinism UK is a unique collection of female only events for women studying science, technology, engineering and maths at UK universities. Network member’s receive priority invites to events such as IT’s not just for the boys! and Engineer your future plus one-to-one mentoring programmes with high profile inspirational women working within STEM industries.

    The STEMinism UK network was set up to support women studying STEM subjects as they continue their careers within largely male dominated sectors. Through our exclusive free events, members can attend essential skills sessions and network with experienced engineering and technology professionals, to increase their understanding of the opportunities open to them and how to get hired.

  • A Day in the City

    A day in the City

    This year TARGETjobs Events are offering two fantastic insight days for you to learn more about a career in law; A day in the City – London on 25 March 2013 and A day in the City – Birmingham on 16 May 2013. These events are a great opportunity to spend the day inside the law firms, develop skills and competencies that recruiters look for and network with key people from the sector!

    A day in the City is your chance to spend time with current and trainee lawyers who will provide feedback and useful advice that you can take away and put into practice when taking those first steps towards your career.

  • City law for ethnic minorities

    City law for ethnic minorities

    200 students + over 10 top city law firms + 4 days in June 2013 = City law for ethnic minorities

    An exclusive event for students interested in finding out more about a legal career in the City. Over two days in June you’ll get to network with key figures from the firms, take part in business games and case studies, visit the firms and find out first-hand what it takes to be a City lawyer. If you are a first-year law or second-year non-law student it’s an event that’s not to be missed, and it looks great on your CV!

  • The National Pupillage Fair

    The UK’s largest and most established national pupillage fair: the best opportunity for students looking for pupillage to meet representatives from chambers, course providers and other organisations essential to a successful career at the Bar.

    The last one took place at Lincolns Inn, London on the 9 March 2013. Keep checking this page for updates on the next pupillage fair.

  • Asia & Middle East Graduate Careers Event

    A one day event involving the brightest career minded Asian and Middle Eastern students from the UK’s top 30 universities.
