    TARGETjobs Events host unique events for career focused students of all years to meet and network with graduate employers. Our events are designed to showcase the best UK undergraduates, either through competitions or ‘invitation only’ career events.

    TARGETjobs Events are an excellent opportunity to get you noticed and improve your employability skills. Past winners and attendees have won internships and placements with leading recruiters which has often led to full time employment after graduation.

    Take a look through our upcoming events. You can apply to as many as you feel you are suitable for, all events are pre screened and ‘invitation only’ meaning selected students get quality time with recruiters.

  • Undergraduate of the Year

    TARGETjobs Undergraduate of the Year is our flagship annual competition. For undergraduates in years 1-4 and now entering its Fifth year, Undergraduate of the Year comprises a very special set of awards that focus on the personalities, skills and abilities of students from a range of degree subjects. It provides the opportunity for the very best to emerge and win prizes, ranging from overseas trips to specially commissioned internships.

  • National Student Challenge

    TARGETjobs National Student Challenge

    The TARGETjobs National Student Challenge is an annual online challenge which offers current students the chance to perfect the skills required in real life assessment centre scenarios used by graduate recruiters in their selection processes.

    The 2013 challenge closed on the 25 November, and the Grand Final took place on 9 December at the Siemens Crystal building in London, offering the over 52 of top students from the leaderboard the chance to showcase their teamwork, communication and leadership skills in a series of challenges directly in front of graduate recruiters from Siemens UK, BDO, eBay, Norton Rose Fulbright, Cognizant and Smiths News PLC.

  • Women in Investment Management

    This one-day event with leading investment management employers is a chance for high-calibre students to meet graduate recruiters and other key figures to get advice on pursuing a career in this attractive industry. Taking place every autumn in London, the event is a great mix of practical exercises and networking - you can develop your knowledge and skills while making important contacts for the future.

  • Engineer your future

    Engineer your future is a unique chance to meet top engineering employers through a mix of interactive sessions involving graduate recruiters, senior female engineers and entry-level graduates.

    This year the event was held at the Heritage Motor Centre near Warwick on 4 November 2013 and joined by nine event partners: Atkins, Dstl, EDF Energy, Ford Motor Company Limited, Jaguar Land Rover, Laing O'Rourke, National Grid, Vodafone and WSP. Roma Agrawal also joined us as our keynote speaker and shared her experiences of working in the engineering sector.

  • IT's not just for the boys!

    Are you a female student seeking a technology internship or grad scheme for 2014? Do you want to meet leading recruiters, like-minded peers and inspirational women?

    2013/14 saw three IT's not just for the boys! events, where 28 companies met over 250 students all looking to discover what a career in technology could offer them.

    Applications for 2014/15 will open in the Autumn. Improve your employability, take part in skills sessions, gain an insight into the application process and hear from inspirational women at IT's not just for the boys!

  • TARGETjobs National Schools Challenge

    TARGETjobs National Schools' Challenge

    TARGETjobs National Schools' Challenge 2013–2014 concluded with the Grand Final at The Crystal Building, London, on 3 April 2014. The UK wide competition saw the top students from each of the 10 regional leaderboards travel down to compete for the title of this year's winner. In order to get their place at the Grand Final, the challengers first needed to take an online aptitude test and rank as highly as possible. This year our winners are: Imogen Grant from East Midlands and East Anglia (1st), Marcus Williamson from North West (2nd) and Simran Patel from West Midlands (3rd).

  • AB InBev Best Beer Competition

    A fantastic competition where you can be creative, show your business skills, pitch your idea to a leading global company and be in with a chance of winning cash prizes.

    AB InBev invites teams to come up with an innovative concept for a beer that best represents the characteristics of their university and to produce a business plan that shows how it can be put into practice successfully.

    The competition is open to students studying at university in the UK and Belgium from any year of study and any degree discipline.

    The winning team in 2012 was from the University of Exeter.

  • STEMinism

    The STEMinism UK network was set up in 2012, with the aim of bringing together likeminded female undergraduates from universities across the UK.

    Through a series of female only events, students are given exclusive opportunities to network with recruiters, graduates and senior representatives to discover the skills which make them employable, and gain an insight into some of the top companies in the UK.

    Annual events include IT's not just for the boys!, Engineer your future and a bespoke day with our STEMinism UK partners, Vodafone at their headquarters outside Newbury.

  • A Day in the City

    A day in the City

    A day in the City 2014 took place Monday 13 January and gave 40 selected students a unique chance to gain an insight into the life of a City lawyer. They spent the day with two top law firms; RPC and Dentons, and networked with lawyers, trainees and graduate recruiters. Attendees were put through their paces with sessions designed to reflect the application process as well as bespoke skills workshops offering guidance and a chance to have questions answered.

    Attendees were first year law or second year non-law students, and were invited to attend after completing an online application (CV and cover letter) and being successful during a telephone interview where they demonstrated their interest in a career in city law and motivations for wanting to attend the event.

    Two exclusive events for students interested in finding out more about law in the City. You'll have two days (overnight stay included) to network with key figures, take part in business games and case studies, visit firms and find out first-hand what it takes to be a City lawyer. Whether you're an undergraduate student studying law or considering converting this is an event that's not to be missed...and it looks great on your CV!

  • The National Pupillage Fair

    TARGETjobs presents the UK's largest and most established National Pupillage Fair; the best opportunity for students looking for pupillage to meet representatives from chambers, course providers and other organisations essential to a successful career at the Bar.

    The next National Pupillage Fair will take place on 8 March 2014 with applications opening in September 2013. Keep checking this page for updates.

  • Asia & Middle East Graduate Careers Event

    The First one day event for the brightest career minded Asian and Middle Eastern students from the UK's top 30 universities took place on Saturday 9 November 2013.

    The next event will take place in the Autumn of 2014. Applications will open September 2014.

    How to get hired Live

    How to get hired Live which will take place on Tuesday 22 April 2014 at Wembley Stadium is the only conference of its kind in the UK. It will bring together 600 students from across the UK to discuss and debate employability skills and learn from over 150 graduate recruiters what you can really do to help you get hired.
